Most Anticipated Games Of 2020

It's still too early to say who the big contenders of 2020 board games will be, but there are some ambitious projects that we can look at. Here are the top games creating the most hype for the new decade.
1) 7th Citadel
This game has similar themes to the 7th Continent. However, it won't be following from that older games story. It will instead be taking place in a dark fantasy setting. Gameplay will be enhanced with greater emphasis on survival during adventuring.
2) Dead Reckoning
This crowdfunded game will be a pirate-themed game with a heavy focus on exploration. You'll venture the oceans with your own pirate crew in search of undiscovered territories. In the later part of the game, you'll battle other pirate crews for the control of different areas.
3) Zombicide 2nd Edition
This game, which was released early in October 2019, is an updated and improved version of the original Zombicide. These improvements include combat changes as well as different ways to move. It will have at least 25 playable scenarios for a campaign as well as six new survivors.
4) The Great Wall
This game is now expected to launch in late 2020, but it should be worth the wait. Awaken Realms is known for creating high production value games. This game will be set in China, but it's actually a Euro game that includes placing workers and managing resources. It involves combat as well as positive and negative interactions between players.
5) ISS Vanguard
This one is yet another project from Awaken Realms. Little is known about it, except that it will be an exploration game of space. The emphasis will be more on exploring new planets and examining them, and less on combat.
6) Hel: The Last Saga
At the end of the Viking period, the Vikings are searching for the famed Valhalla, where they can prosper for eternity. However, something else gets discovered - a mysterious and sinister island. Crews that go there disappear, and it's up to the player and their squad to find out what happened to them. The game has semi co-op and should have high replayability with many different scenarios for the missing crew.
7) Transhumanity
This game has an interesting story premise. Earth's orbit got tampered with, and it shifted somewhere else in the universe. The players' job is to find out why this happened. The game will be fully co-op and has a heavy emphasis on deck building.
8) Rocketman
Here we have another space exploration game, but this one is set in modern times with the player leading the charge in the next space race. This game is also focused on deck building, but it does have its own board.
9) In Too Deep
In this game, the players will take on the role of undercover police officers in the latter half of the 21st century. Players will infiltrate the local mafia and gather data on their members -and of course, arrest them-  all while remaining undercover (and more importantly alive).
